History

Thompson Electrical Constructors, Inc. started in March of 2000.  The owners, Lori Thompson and Diana Thompson, started small; working out of their home.  Hard work paid off, and thirteen years ago we moved into our own office and shop at 150 100th St South in Tacoma, WA.  We have been in business for over fifteen years and are continuing to grow.

During our time, we have worked on many government projects at sites all over Washington State. We are very familiar with Federal OSHA Regulations, the Corps of Engineers Safety & Health Requirements manual, the Buy American Act as well as the process of daily work reports and weekly certified payroll.

Over the years, we have worked on hundreds of projects for Franciscan Health Systems as well as projects for Madigan Army Medical Center and the VA. We have received our Certification in Infection Control and have the experience necessary to provide the kind of specialized, quality care associated with hospitals and health care providers.

Thompson Electrical Contractors has also worked on communication sites and road construction projects such as street lighting, traffic signals, and underground utilities.

Other points of interest:

– We have aggressively invested into the “NFPA-70E Arc Flash Analysis Program”.

-We are proudly one of the few electrical contractors in the state whom adheres and performs daily to these new safety codes and regiment that are quickly becoming prevalent in the electrical industry.

– We are compliant and up to date with CHC certifications with Infection control. We are familiar with ICRA standards and practices in infection control.

– We believe in safety as a #1 consideration to all of our tasks and projects. Our L&I safety rating or factor is a .6 going into 2014.
